Ambassador Theatre Dublin

We began with an in-depth consultation with historians and exhibition designers to ensure our concrete designs would respectfully reflect the historical importance of the Easter Rising. The project required a delicate balance between durability for high foot traffic and aesthetic appeal to complement the exhibition’s theme.

Our team of pavers in Dublin developed custom concrete mixes that would allow for intricate imprinting while maintaining strength and longevity. We chose aggregates and pigments that would evoke the atmosphere of 1916 Dublin, creating a immersive experience for visitors. The imprinting process was meticulously planned and executed, incorporating symbolic elements from the proclamation of Poblacht na h-Eireann and other key aspects of the uprising. We used advanced stamping techniques to create texture and depth, enhancing the visual impact of the concrete surfaces.

Throughout the project, we worked closely with the Ambassador Theatre to ensure seamless integration of our concrete work with other exhibition elements. Despite the pressure of a fixed deadline for the centenary, we maintained our commitment to quality and precision.

The result was a series of stunning concrete installations that served both as functional flooring and as an integral part of the exhibition’s narrative. Our work helped create an immersive environment that honoured the sacrifices of those involved in the Easter Rising while providing a durable concrete surface for the thousands of visitors expected.
